Following is a brief profile for the Lab Assistant staff
position in the CANS Labs.
Job Tasks
Perform various operating procedures for computer lab including assisting
lab patrons with lab procedures and software questions; distributing print
jobs; maintaining and cleaning lab PCs and furniture.

Ability and desire to work in a customer service environment

Should possess some intermediate skills in Windows 2000; MS Office 2000
applications; TU email account (Tiger); web browsers and publishing, and TU OpenWebmail

Following is the Performance Evaluation that the Lab Manager completes
for each Lab Assistant at the end of a semester. The scores on this evaluation
determine whether or not a Lab Assistant will be hired the following semester
and under what conditions.
