Specific Problems
A:\ Disk Drive
-
If diskette cannot be inserted correctly-- something
seems to be obstructing it or diskette cannot be removed from A:\, go to
step 3 below.
-
Test the A:\ drive- save/delete 2 files from A:\,
if you cannot save or delete files on A:\, go to step 3 below.
-
Place a small sign over the A:\drive opening: "A:\
drive broken".
-
Email jack with PC name and problem.
Usually, problems with A:\ are the result
of the metal sleeve on the diskette coming off the disk and getting stuck
in the drive. When this happens, other disks should not be inserted.
Richard and I have special tweezers to remove the metal plates.
